(More customer reviews)I was trying to buy a bike the other day, and I looked a lot of online and local bike dealers. Online ones are better than locals, but mostly DIYed by the seller and good deals are often out of stock. I asked my friend for help and he recommended this. I just bought without any thought. It turned out to be pretty nice, at least the guy who put it together says this. I actually went to a mountain bike trail, rock and rolled on the double black route. The crank hit the rock many times, but still okay; front suspension provide just enough cushion for jumping on the rocks and trees. I followed my friend pretty well on the trail, who paid $1600 for his bike.
However, the bike comes with a manufacturing defect, the frame mount (screw hole part) for the rear disk break it too fat so that the caliper keeps scratching the rotor. I can't fix this because the mount on the frame is too thick so the caliper can no longer be moved out of rotor. A bikeshop files the caliper a little bit at $20, but still rubbing somewhat. I have to do it myself, and I file the frame and add one washer and fix the problem. Although having a defect is frustrating, it's still worth your money. 5 stars!
